Today I took notice of someone speaking about how when Deady hall was built, they had the stairs leading up to the doorway on each side of the building created separately, one side for women, the other for men. Upon asking why, I was told that on one side they had more, smaller stairs than on the other side, to ensure women didn’t have to take such big steps. This was so interesting to me, so I knew I had to investigate further.
